- Lost boarding crew when my under fire teleport got hacked with them inside. Game was good to me and showered me with weapons and drones but bad resource management on my part led me to this moment in sector 7 where I got destroyed by this ugly. Just needed a couple more scraps for the 4th shield

How do you make Stealth B work? Posted: 16 May 2020 07:24 PM PDT Seriously, there are a million stupid ways to die with this ship: -Get boarded via dialogue while fighting another ship -Enemy has beam drones and it hits weapons -You cloak and weapons gets hit anyways due to bad luck -You have no choice but to go through an environmental hazard due to poor beacon placement -You survive the first few sectors but can't kill the enemy fast enough when they start showing up with two shields [link] [comments]
NoEther is pretty decent...UNTIL YOU GET BOARDED Posted: 17 May 2020 01:35 AM PDT Brief rant. Excellent run, minimal damage, 3rd sector, gold weapons Zoltan and a green shield Zoltan, hit a random event with boarders in a Zoltan section. 4 mantis boarded my ship, and of course I do the thing that everyone tells me to do and vent the O2. The Zoltan are parked in the med bay. The mantis BEELINE for the doors and the Oxygen. They destroyed the systems and then died, killing my run. I wasn't even phases this time. It's so predictable now. You know what would be nice? If the amount of damage repaired stayed instead of falling back to 0 [link] [comments]
Faster Than Light: Captain's Edition [Question] Posted: 16 May 2020 03:40 PM PDT Hello, everybody. This question should only take a moment. I've played FTL: Advanced Edition for quite a while by now. I've never beaten it, but I've unlocked more than a few ships and reached the Flagship quite a few times. On Normal difficulty, with the Advanced Edition content enabled. I don't know if that matters. Anyway, I'm biding my time until Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition comes out at the end of the month, and I was considering downloading the Captain's Edition mod to spice things up. But I was wondering if I should play loads more of the vanilla game, really get the full experience prior to the installation. Or is how much I've played enough? Anyway, thanks people. Happy Faster-Than-Lighting. [link] [comments]
Thinking about picking this game up again--question about mods? Posted: 16 May 2020 10:19 PM PDT For those of you still playing an enjoying this game (after beating the base game)--which mods "keep it alive"? I think there was a Captain's log? Does this game still have an active modding community? Any input (including how to install) would be appreciated if there are still players. [link] [comments]
Posted: 16 May 2020 02:34 PM PDT I'm either extra blind today and couldn't find any guides, or no one cared to explain such a trivial thing... how do I extract game files? Alternatively, is there a base of already extracted sprites? I want to try making just some off-game images, so no need for info about repacking of compiling into mod. [link] [comments]
