Posted: 16 Jul 2020 11:26 PM PDT Just venting... Playing Stealth C, which is bad enough already. I was stoked to pick up an Ion Blast I along with my Shields in Sector 2 and proceeded to steamroll a couple sectors with that and the starting gear. Since then, no guns. It's Sector 6. I've hit 1-2 stores per sector with scrap on hand. No guns. No combat drones. No drops apart from a Swarm Missile (useful if I were a 4-weapon ship) and an early Hull Laser II I sold. No pew-pew of any sort. I need a f'ing gun, RNG! I did get a couple free Rocks from events, so I bought a Teleporter and Reconstructive Teleport, which is generally not what I want to do on a 3-weapon ship. But between that and Mind Control I'm sort of getting by. Nice Stealth ship with no Cloaking I'm running. Cloaking actually showed up in the same shop as the Teleporter and Reconstructive Teleport, but what's the point of Cloaking if all you have are three 1-power weapons to charge up? So I went with the Teleporter. I dunno... maybe I should have kept that Hull II, but that seemed crazy stupid in Sector 2 after I had just picked up that sweet Ion Blast. Also, that Hull II came from the Stasis Pod event in Sector 2. Sector 3 was Zoltan Homeworlds. Sector 6 is Rock Homeworlds. The RNG is clearly screwing with me. [link] [comments]

Ever wonder where the raw material for the clone bay comes from? Posted: 16 Jul 2020 06:31 AM PDT Like, does your ship just have piles of meat, gravel, scrap, and ion batteries lying around for the purpose? If not, what does it use? [link] [comments]
Am I doing something wrong? 14 hours played and only have engi ship unlocked. Posted: 16 Jul 2020 11:50 PM PDT I just can't find any of the quests to unlock the other ships. Playing on easy, idk if that makes a difference. Of the two times I have found one of the quests, I couldn't complete it due to something silly like not having level 2 sensors for the slug ship. I can beat the rebel flagship relatively easy with the kestrel, but of the like 4 times I've tried with the engi ship, I lose due to not being able to find the correct weapons to break it's shield. This game started off really fun, but it's quickly become frustrating how "difficult" (rng) it is to unlock the other ships. Spend an hour hunting for quests, don't find any. Spend an hour getting to the flagship, get screwed over by the hack or not having a perfect set of weapons. [link] [comments]

Posted: 16 Jul 2020 02:43 PM PDT I've been playing on easy and for the life of me I can't beat the final boss! The entire game is a cakewalk except the flagship and I get to the flagship 100% of the time, but I am demolished by it every single time! Once I got it to third phase but I usually die on the second. I've been playing with Kestrel A Any tips to not get squished? [link] [comments]
I accidentally blew up 6 of my crew at the same time. Has anyone else done this? Posted: 16 Jul 2020 10:05 AM PDT I was playing on hard with Mantis A. In sector 6, I kept boarding more and more crew while trying to take out a ship's massive weapon system, and trying to take out their level 3 clone bay. I wasn't paying enough attention to the enemy ship's hull and blew it up, killing my 3 mantis, 2 rocks, and 1 engi. Luckily, I still had 2 crew. I bought another crew and ended up defeating the flagship with 2 hull to spare. I need to put a post-it note on my monitor that says, CHECK THE ENEMY SHIP'S HULL GODDAMMIT [link] [comments]
TFW you hit random ship for for your PB breaking 20 streak Posted: 16 Jul 2020 08:03 AM PDT And it's Stealth A. YeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAA! Might be streaming it later today, we'll see. Of course the real goal is all 28 ships. We're getting so close! [link] [comments]
No Screenshot/No Video - Ship Death Story Posted: 16 Jul 2020 08:48 AM PDT I'm new here and noticed people seem to post crazy shit that happened to them in game. I was filming my game but annoyingly I didn't capture this moment. Essentially my ship had just been absolutely wrecked in battle and after a frantic attempt to repair my oxygen system, I failed and was left with my three remaining crew standing in the med bay maintaining about 8 health each, but at the mercy of 0% oxygen. The only thing I thought to do was try to make a run for the pilot seat and launch my ship into the next beacon and pray for something to help me out of the situation. I sent all three of them running for the pilot seat. Two collapsed dead and the third just managed to press the FTL button and we made it to the next beacon. As the dialogue box came up for the next scene, I heard him die in the background. After closing the dialogue box, I instantly lossed due to no crew. I thought it was epic that I at least made it to the next beacon. But it left me wondering how I might have survived. I only had 1 scrap, but if I had enough to upgrade my Oxygen, would it have auto repaired it? Even if I managed to make it to a store, is there anything I couldve done to survive with 0% oxygen and no way to repair it? The only thing I can think of is buying a Lanius crew member and then getting him to repair the oxygen. I think that would work, right? Anything else? [link] [comments] |
