Posted: 26 Sep 2020 10:27 AM PDT I was wondering if there is a fixed repair order for the ai in ftl. I just recognizedcthat weapons are mostly top priority. Piloting engines and shields have also a high priority. But what has to be hig that the pilot gets out of the cockpit? [link] [comments]
What is the most uniquely frustrating loss you've had? Posted: 26 Sep 2020 08:21 AM PDT I think I just had mine. Fed A on Hard. Made it to Sector 3, run was going very smoothly. Had just picked up Halberd Beam and long ranged scanners, and had a good, well-trained crew. Looking at the sector layout I decided my path would include a quest beacon before a dive at the end. On the way to the quest, I encountered the event that turns a random crew member into an enemy, and it took out my fully trained captain. I'd already committed to the dive path, but now my evasion was drastically reduced. The dive was possibly my worst one ever. Couldn't dodge anything, missile took out piloting, boarders wreaked havok, and I got breached by the ASB 4 times before I could escape. Once I could assess the damage, I realized just how bad my situation was. Most systems were online, but both my doors and medbay were breached and offline. My crew was all around 5 HP. No way to repair anything, no way to heal. I had a store next to me, but no scrap to buy crew. My only option was to jump beside it and hope for a miracle. The miracle was a teleporting boarding party in an asteroid field. Needless to say, it was a quick death. The frustration gets worse the more I realize that if I hadn't lost my captain, that dive would have gone so much smoother. [link] [comments]
stuck in exit baecon, what do i do Posted: 26 Sep 2020 08:49 AM PDT So its my first time playing ftl, i got a slave trading ship at the exit beacon, i bought one slave from them and now i can't figure out what can i do next. I assume i should be able to go to the next section oslt. I can't fight with the ship either. screenshots: [link] [comments]
flagship/ship unlock/other shit questions Posted: 26 Sep 2020 10:25 PM PDT so, i've been unlocking a lot of ships recently (as of now, i have mantis, slug, rock, and crystal left) and i guess i was wondering a few things. 1. if you have AE off, are you still able to unlock ships in a chain (ex. could i still unlock mantis a by beating flagship as zoltan with AE off)? 2. i guess what are your strategies for flagship? i know a big one is teleporting and killing the whole crew except 1, but what if i don't have a teleporter by then? (or maybe im just bad and dont snowball fast enough at the beginning but idk) 3. for unlocking crystal a, did you get the right rng to get all 3 events? or did you end up beating flagship with all a and b ships? if it's the former, how are you so lucky lmao. if it's the latter, what was the hardest ship to get it with and what was your strat? tysm [link] [comments]
