- Can we take the flagship home laddies?
- I think the game likes me.
- When you have a mall and only 16 scrap...
- Getting my A$$ handed to me with Mantis A on Hard
- Left that useless artillery broken since the very first fight :)
- The best surrender offer that I was forced to deny
- I'm gonna say it but it generally annoys me how every event like this it uses this excuse, couldn't they come up with something else? or just have it so the Zoltan shield holds them off?
- hyperspace.xml not found.. but it doesn't exist at all
- It was going so well too
- Help requested with Boarding Objective Successful
- Is it just me or are both crystal ships awful?

Getting my A$$ handed to me with Mantis A on Hard Posted: 15 Oct 2020 03:00 PM PDT Just had three runs in a row where I was destroyed by the first ship I encountered. TWICE it was an auto-drone, paired with a "shields deactivated" event, drone rocking double beams. In about 30 runs with this ship, I haven't make it past the 5th sector. I feel like the RNG is F'ing with me here. I switch back to Fed B and immediately find a Flak 1 floating in space. I suppose I just needed to vent. I hate this ship. [link] [comments]

hyperspace.xml not found.. but it doesn't exist at all Posted: 15 Oct 2020 05:26 PM PDT I've downloaded hyperspace and, as far as I can tell, it's all installed correctly and on 1.6.9 but it keeps telling me that it can't find hyperspace.xml... and neither can I. What's going on here? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]

Help requested with Boarding Objective Successful Posted: 15 Oct 2020 05:08 AM PDT I've loved this game for years now and can't wait to play some modded FTL in the future but I'm still missing the Boarding Objective Successful achievement. I've tried for a few hours and have done it by stated rules just to discover you actually need to kill 5 enemies with the drone. I always run Mantis B to eliminate the RNG of getting to use the boarding drone in the first place. I seem to rarely get to fight 5 man ships that don't have med bays or teleports while playing on Easy. What are your experiences in successfully getting it/what has worked for you? Breach bomb 2 on Engi ships has been my favorite strat so far because fighting 10hp Engis seems like the move and that could be helped by hacking the room the drone lands in to limit getting ganged up on. Minus the hacking part is how I got a drone to kill 4 in the past but even then the drone barely survived and I don't think it would survive a 5th Engi. The wiki and other forums tell me to get enemies super low with crew but I have been having a hard time with sending the drone in first, using crew without killing enemies, and having the drone finish them off. Sending in a bunch of Mantis after the drone into a ship with a clone bay might be the move to get the drone a ton of 1v1s so I will try for that but I'm curious about everyone's opinions on this. Thanks in advance [link] [comments]
Is it just me or are both crystal ships awful? Posted: 15 Oct 2020 04:54 AM PDT Layout A has these weapons that seem good but they don't synergize with anything else because they never remove the last shield layer. They're only actually good in sectors 1 to 3. And they don't even sell for good money. I thought Layout B would at least be better but it manages to be even worse! The Crystal aren't that good for boarding like the description claims. The lockdown doesn't help that much. [link] [comments] |
