Posted: 02 Oct 2020 07:29 AM PDT I've heard arguments for and against both, wondering how divided the playerbase is about it. [link] [comments]

Posted: 03 Oct 2020 02:44 AM PDT They're basically death traps for unshielded ships, as the pilot evidently can't realiably dodge objects with a completely predictable movement pattern. And yet you run into unshielded auto-scouts in asteroid fields that start out completely undamaged but get pummeled into oblivion by space rocks within seconds. My suggestion would be to triple or quadruple a ships evasion chance against asteroids. That way, asteroid fields wouldn't be guaranteed shredders for shieldless ships, but losing your evasion in an asteroid field would be hazardous. [link] [comments]

Lore question: What eat different races? Posted: 03 Oct 2020 12:30 AM PDT Well, here what I actually know: Humans - we know what we eat. Lanius - They eat minerals/scrap/metals. Zoltan - I guess they eat something which gives a lot of power, like uranium. Slugs - I guess they eat food which contains a lot of carb. Rockmen - ??? Crystal - ??? [link] [comments]
I just destroyed phase 3 in the fastest possible time Posted: 02 Oct 2020 07:30 AM PDT Edit: Definitely not the fastest hahah. Not too far off, but not the fastest. 16 seconds. I was having a very lucky run with Slug B. To make this possible I had:
I used the pre-igniter exploit to fire Both Flaks then a couple frames later, both Glaives. The shield was gone instantly and I dealt some system damage. The double reloaders and fully leveled weapons guy allowed me to fire the Glaives again in less than 15 seconds. Level 3 hacking had the shields completely down for the Glaives to deal more than enough damage to destroy it. I was just hearing the klaxons warning me about the first power surge when it exploded. So yeah.. a few frames of hesitation at the beginning + under 15 seconds for the Glaives to charge + about 1 second for the Glaives to obliterate the ship. I don't think anything could have been done to make this faster. [link] [comments]
Are there any achievements that require you to play on hard? Posted: 02 Oct 2020 05:27 PM PDT I've been thinking about getting all the achievements and i was wondering: are there any achievements that require you to play on hard mode? from what i've seen, most of them can be done on easy (except the one that requires you to beat the game on normal), but i wanted to know if i missed one. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Oct 2020 12:25 PM PDT I've been debating this for a while. Sometimes RNG will put me in a position where I max out cloak, but in the end/at the flagship I use one reactor point cloaking for a quick dodge. Maybe put a second rank into cloaking (no reactor point) so if it can take a hit with a laser or missile, but only at the end right before I go into the boss battle. I feel like the game is just one massive set up for the boss battle, so investing ranks into cloaking seems pointless if one bar works just fine to dodge all special attacks from the flagship. What's your experience? [link] [comments] |
