    I fired a Flak at a scout which had a Burst Laser II.. I only had two shields, so I was preparing to possibly take a hit. My flak projectiles came from below the scout, and they all missed (of course). But the remaining projectiles kept going up and toward the top of the screen just as the scout's burst laser was starting to fire.

    I then hear the collision sound effect... then again.. and AGAIN. The flak projectiles hit and destroyed ALL THREE of the incoming laser blasts.

    Blew my mind.. I can't even begin to imagine how rare it would be for the timings, and trajectories and even the flak spread to line up that way.

    Was trying to get mantis B by killing 20 enemy crews before sector 6, I was in sector 5 just stalling and fighting rebel ships when this happened.

    Alright so as many of you know it seems like Subset is going to add Steam Achievments to FTL. Last night I had a dream that the achievments came out and there were exactly 18 achievments available. I remember reading some of them in my dream but can't remember what they were specifically about. But I want y'all to keep me in mind, and if there happen to be exactly 18 achievments, then I am a damn wizard.

    Probably not going to happen but just wanted to post due to how random that dream was lmao

    1 Day in and I really like it - how should I go about my experience?

    Hey guys! what is the best way to go about this experience? Right now, I'm struggling to beat normal mode on the base game and I love it. I will try to do that.

    After I'm done, Should I try to unlock the ships first? or Should I turn on AE update? What is the best way to experience FTL?

    There's a screenshot of a test achievement on the front page here. It's likely that FTL will be updating to incorporate achievements and steam cloud save syncs. This is great news!

    Unfortunately, I have in the past lost save games when other devs updated products to use Steam cloud saves. It's probably a good idea to make a quick backup of your savgame just in case, especially if you spent forever unlocking ships.

    On Windows, the games are usually stored in the following directory:

    C:\Users\USER\Documents\My Games\FasterThanLight

    Newer to FTL (PC version). I played about 4 years ago on iPad for a bit. Got to the point where I had unlocked all but 2 of the basic ships. So I am not completely brand new, but new to PC.

    My second game with the Kestrel, I unlocked the Engi ship. Then on my fourth run with the Engi ship (hadn't completed the game yet), I had what must be the luckiest run ever! I completed the run and unlocked 4 ships along the way! (Federation cruiser, Zoltan cruiser, Stealth cruiser, and Lanius cruiser!)

    Super excited! You can see in the picture below that it was just my 6th run!

    I had 8 crew members, 4 shield bubbles, the default ion gun, burst 3 (the five shot one), a combat drone, and defense 1 & 2 drones.

    How different is the PC version from the mobile(IOS) version?

    I've been playing a while on the mobile version of the game, (got all the ships+forms), but I want to know if there are many differences between mobile and PC, or just mods?

    Just got my second DD 2 for free in this game :O the run was going poorly otherwise

    Got to stage 3 of the flagship but ended up losing. Combo of not killing enough crew and chose hacking over cloak which I think i could've dealt with but that hypnosis and the last 3 crew i didn't kill teleported over and took out my teleporter. Was so closeeeee. But advice for next time would rock!

    Engi A - weapon order question (flagship)

    Yet to beat the flagship, but I have been having trouble damaging 4 shields with these weapons + 2 combat drones. I am playing on Normal, haven't enabled Advanced Edition. Just arrived in The Last Stand.

    What systems should my targets be with the Ion Blast and Burst Laser? And how can I throw in the Heavy Laser 1?

    Weapons lvl 5 Ion Blast 2 Burst Laser 2 Heavy Laser 1

    Drones lvl 4 2x Combat Drone Mk1 1x Beam Drone Mk1 1x Hull Repair Drone 1x System Repair Drone

    Crew: 1x Human 3x Engi 1x Rock 1x Mantis

    Shield lvl 3 Engine lvl 5

    I have no cloaking or teleporter.

    Additionally, my doors, sensors, oxygen and medbay are all lvl 1. I usually have someone man the doors. Should I try to upgrade a few of those prior to the flagship?

    FTL Modding: Crew Powers

    Is it possible to mod the game and swap crew powers around? I have tried changing the crew powers list in blueprints.xml, but that just changes the description of the crew, not their actual abilities.
