    Won a fight against a ship, but one of the crew members died, then the ship kept losing oxygen & fire and eventually everyone died, I tried clicking everything but I couldn't fix anything or stop the fires or fix the engine or anything, also the doors wouldn't open.

    Is it suppose to be this difficult? I Don't even know what I did wrong or why I Couldn't do anything! lol

    Engi B - Terrible, but Also Cursed?

    Fuck.

    I have been trying to get my first engi B clear, just normal mode atm (god I do not look forward to doing this one on hard) and my luck has just been atrocious.

    • 27 damage before one weapon cycle. Asteroid into flak into breach missile into asteroid into more flak. Piloting and shields went out immediately, and I had sold my system repair drones (I had 5 crew by this point with 3 engi).
    • Next run? Engi virus sector 2 but only ions and fire beams showed up, even in stores, I mean jesus what? So we did the meme run. Burninate the countryside. Couldn't burninate SIX MAX SKILL MANTIS BOARDERS IN SECTOR 3. In a goddamn engi sector. That event can [censored], I just got instantly shredded. We managed to stabilize and start killing them in the med bay...until the med bay got nuked by a breach missile. WTB 1 defense drone.
    • Never got free crew, ever.
    • WTF is a burst laser? Game don't know, not in 10 runs that have gotten to sectors 6 and 7.
    • I have seen Rock Homeworlds more times in the past 10 runs than my past 100 hours.
    • Seriously WTF is this luck Reddit? Halp.
    • Also some of the worst sector layouts I have ever seen. Top/bottom splits are usually like 1 per 3 runs for me, not like EVERY SECTOR
    • No I have not won Zoltan C yet don't even start, I need a funnel full of gin for that

    Started today! SO FUN!! OMG

    So I saw this game was free with XBOX Game Pass for PC - I work at MS so I got the game basically for free - I'VE BEEN ON IT ALL DAY!

    I was doing so well so many times only to land on a node with 4 intruders and a solar flare hitting me to get wiped out :'(

    BUT THE GAME IS TOOO FUN! Love exploring and it is always different. Love it.

    Help with modding

    Hey everyone,

    Coming back to this game after several years away and I'm trying to mod it. Trying to get Slipstream going but it keeps telling me to find a file that doesn't seem to exist. All the guides online are pretty old and there version of there FTL file is very different from mine. Deleted and re downloaded and still no luck. I have no "resources" folder and no"data.dat" file. Any help getting me started would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Having trouble with Lanius A

    Every other ship, I can consistently make it to the flagship. Occasionally even win. But with Lanius A, it seems like I'm constantly getting screwed by missiles and beams. I can never find defense drones or cloaking in the mid sectors, and early on I'm prioritizing my shields and engines. I'm trying not to overuse my hacking for fear of running out of drone parts, but I'm wondering if that's the right call. I've tried about a dozen times and haven't even made it past sector 6. Any advice specific to this ship?

    Took me over 4 attempts to unlock Manpower Achievement. Finallygot it with a super lucky run. 2 Flak I and Burst Laser II for the win!
