    I just had to have a bit of a rant. Going through on Captain Logs mod and this stupid random game - I have been to a dozen stores along the way, pretty much last store in Sector 7 and again, I never get any weapon options to purchase (besides Artillery system).

    I have two Auto Laser I and a Basic Laser I, and without a Laser I drone purchased early on, I would never have been able to take down L3 or L4 shields.

    Edit: Hilariously, literally the final battle before the exit beacon to The Final Battle, I saved some dudes and it said "request what you want: fuel, drones or a weapon".... Guess what I chose :D https://prnt.sc/tc0oax

    I lost anyway, no chance to put money into the weapon system, if I had thrown 100 credits at it before I got the weapon installed it would have been the difference.

    Learned something new about the Flagship today

    TLDR It turns out the flagship doesn't remember what crew you killed on phase 1 if you don't beat it.

    The situation arose when a sector 8 layout had me fighting the flagship one space (but not one jump) before it reached the base and I hadn't reached the repair beacons yet. I was taken down to 10 hull, so I knew I needed to repair to have a shot surviving through the next phase. I jump to the base and the as pull up the map the I see the repair beacons gone and flashing red but thankfully a store was revealed in an adjacent space. Now thinking all the crew (minus the beam dude) is dead I sell off the lockdown bomb I largely leaned on throughout the run, as well as hacking stun augmentation as it would only hinder me hacking the shields. I heal up and jump over to the base to fight what I thought would be a neutered phase one... only to arrive with everyone back from the dead... Thankfully I still killed them all again, this time beating the first phase so they stayed dead, and the store was still there after, so it wasn't the difference between winning and losing. But I did lose tho...

    Intruder tips?

    So am fighting a ship and 3 intruders come on board my ship. Do I deal with the intruders or attack the ship? What's the best way to handle intruders? I'm at sector 3 and have the same crappy starter weapons on the Kestrel.

    Beginner looking for some advice.

    I bought this game for less than £2 which is disgusting based on my 3 hour play time I'm gonna love this game. I am coming over from into the breach.

    I notice the same event can have different results? Like I thought "last time I chose option 1 and it was terrible" and then option 2 is also terrible lol. That's ok. I played Nethack so I'm used to it.

    What I struggle with is knowing where to spend my scrap. I have no idea what upgrades to focus and what to buy (I really can afford anyhting but fuel and rockets.)

    If I run out of rockets I feel pretty screwed atm also.

    Any general advice will be greately appreciated.

    Made to the final (easy) with 2 Haldber beams and 1 burst laser with Zoltan A, i thought i will not make it, and almost i didn't. After passing easy with the Engi ship, i made it with Krestel A, Federatio A and Zoltan A on 1 1/2 day. Now the game don't seem so hard, just counterintuive. I love it.

    Just for fun, I thought I would make this poll. Keep in mind the aspects such as charge time, the power needed, price, and how much scrap you might spend to upgrade your weapons system for it.

    (Note: I did not include the anti-bio beam because, well, I would say because it was quite different than the other beams, but in reality, I used up all the options already and didn't have the space for it. If you do want to choose the anti-bio beam, you can put it in the comments!)

    I would also like to hear why you chose the answer you did.
