Posted: 29 Nov 2020 12:38 AM PST I have been trying to unlock the fed ship for a little bit of time now, using engi A with full drones. Equipping a burst laser mark 2 and 1 with hull beam. Combat drone 1, Defense one, anti drone, hull drone (switching as needed between fight) Full hacking, only three shields. I managed to get to the flagship five times before this. Never this well prepared and I died. It was a rough fight, I have been trying all day and now it was late and I was tired but I gave it a shot. Fight fight went ok, shot the missiles out somewhat consistently, doing damage. I win in good health. Second phase. I. Get. Nailed. Drones and missiles are hammering me to the wall. Come out with a clutch hack and survive to run to the last repair on the map. Final phase, I'm low on drone part but I push to engage. First thing that happens 2 guy teleport into one of the air locks and my rock shield guy is mind controlled. I wait until the other guys on the main part of the shop teleport over and jump away. I killed most of the people on the flagship but at a cost, most of the ship was on fire and venting atmosphere, o2, doors, hacking, engines, everything but the medbay was in shambles and I'm in the red hull wise. With a fully upgrade medbay (I got the scrap arm in sector one) and two engis I mangled to fix everything and spent all but 2 drone part to get up to half health. So I go back in. Pop one of the two drone parts on a defense drone. Fire both lasers into the zolton shield. Pray that the defense drone and high evasion can save me. Poor everything I have into the shields, firing the hull beam into as many rooms as I could manage. Then a bad roll and all three missiles hit. Nock me down to one hull point. Panicking I fire everything into the missiles and pop the last drone part on a hull drone. I drop the shields with the hack and watch as then lasers... and missiles pass each other in the war torn space. I died. It was on easy mode. But I nailed home first. And as the flagship breaks up, my ship follows but a short moment after and I breath a sigh of relief as the achievements pop up and the credits roll. I do like this game. [link] [comments]
Any tips for Living Off the Land Achievement? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:02 PM PST Now I'm trying to knock this guy out for the first time, doing it on Hard. My thought process is starting systems are more important than weapons, since you can only buy them at stores. In addition, boarding seems like a must so you can reliably get fuel. For these reasons I'm guessing Crystal B is the best ship to try this achievement with? Any help would be greatly appreciated! [link] [comments]
What is the appeal of this game? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 11:43 AM PST Found this game yesterday, had a lot of time to play it. Had around 30 playthroughs, not one got father than sector 5. This is on normal. The game rarely give you any chance to play a good build on normal difficulty. Even when you actually get a good one like chain ion plus fire beam or you manage to get a second burst laser II, the game feels appropriate to put you up against 3 shield, 2 rocket launchers, one bomb one laser enemies in sector 5, a ship that will murder you even with maxxed out shields and near maximum evasion. This is if I had a good game and I didnt get countered by the random ships and events. Most of the time you are extremely resource starved and cant afford half what you need against the ships sector 5+. No matter how much thought you put into your every decision, it seems like you die anyways. How is this game supposed to be played? Keep restarting until rnjesus gives you a break? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:46 AM PST I know this is somewhat of an odd request, but does the soundtrack for this game include the sound effects used in the game? I would like to use a couple of them. If not, where can they be found? I can't find them in the game files myself. [link] [comments] |
