- Worth it to buy MC in later sectors with the main purpose of defending against the Flagship's MC? (Hard difficulty)
- Can we all agree that warhead economy is balanced atrociously? This is made evident when you play Rock A. I nearly ran out of warheads on SECTOR 2, and barely lucked out with a Flak.
- Level 4 piloting on enemy ships?
- Purchase an unknown weapon for 45 scrap

Level 4 piloting on enemy ships? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 11:35 AM PST So today marked, for the first time in over 2k hours of FTL, that I have personally encountered this (that I know of; if I have run into it before, I didn't notice it). Hard mode run in Kestrel C, start of sector 5, vanilla AE. I'm rocking the Blast Laser II, starting ion stunner, and a Ion Blast II as my current weapon configuration. A little bit into the fight, I get enough ions applied to fully drop enemy shields. All three laser bolts slam home into the previously undamaged cockpit, so naturally I've disabled... wait, WHAT? Their piloting is still up! How did this happen? Three rapid laser bolts should disable piloting on any ship in the game. What was this? Level 4 piloting, similar to 4.5 or 5 shields on an enemy? A glitch? A Titanium Casing augment that didn't report a resist? It couldn't have possibly been enemy repairs, as the three shots hit much, much faster that even two max repair enemies could fix. Has this ever happened to any of you? Whatever it was, I had to share, because I doubt I'll ever see it happen again. [link] [comments] | ||
Purchase an unknown weapon for 45 scrap Posted: 25 Nov 2020 05:54 AM PST Wanted to gauge sentiment here on if this deal is ever worth considering. Normally I try to always fight the ship. However, I'm currently working my way through Sector 6 with a Burst1, Flak1, and Small Bomb to my name. While amazing in the first few sectors, I am in need of much more firepower by now. Already visited the only store this sector, which had no weapons. Do I gamble the 45 scrap and hope not to get burned? [link] [comments] |
