    I used to play this game a ton, but never got the stadis pod in Rock homeworld. I just picked it up again after 2 years and first run.....WOAH!!! I had to look up and remind myself if it was what i thought. Make it to the closest civilian sector at sector 7....and fucking die in it. Im so salty lmao. Was such a peaceful night i feel like i never wanna pick it up again cause im maaaaaad cuz baaaaad

    Has anyone else never had a successful run through the game?

    I just never seem to pick up enough scrap or get the right equipment after a battle or in a store, or I have some enemy ship with the right combination of weapons only two or three systems in completely gut my ship.

    I've only reached the Rebel Flagship twice and both times was trounced. At this stage I'm playing only because the game is so nicely designed that it is fun at least to go through a few systems.

    Group Autofire is Mostly Useless.

    There are very few setups where group autofire works. Autofire on a single weapon can be good, but having every weapon on autofire is going to be inefficient.

    If you could tag weapons for group autofire hierarchy, that would fix it. So you would make one weapon your primary autofire, and every other weapon would wait until that weapon is ready before firing. If the secondary weapons weren't ready, the primary autofire weapon would fire anyway and the secondary weapons would wait until they next sync up with the primary.

    So if you needed them to always fire in sync, you would have your slowest weapon be the primary. Otherwise you could have a fast weapon as a primary, pumping away and having the slower secondary weapons firing with every 2 or 3 volleys of the fast primary.

    Example of slow primary: hull laser II + burst laser I. The burst would always wait to fire with the hull.

    Example of fast primary: flak I + halberd beam. The halberd would fire with every second shot of the flak.

    That still wouldn't work in every situation, e.g. flak II + glaive need to be fired separately, but it would make group autofire a feature I'd actually use.

    And it needs to be separate from weapons order as it currently exists. A little yellow A marking the primary group autofire weapon perhaps…
