    Hello FTL community, I'm Burrito; try-hard winrate enthusiast, FTL Twitch streamer.

    Today I propose a new competitive category for lovers and try-harders of FTL to enjoy and compete with one another!

    This is an attempt to revitalize the with-pause community with a new collective challenge. The all-ships random no-repeat streaking category has a couple of problems from a competitive perspective. It takes many hundreds of hours to complete, and one small mistake in a critical moment can cause all to come crashing down. This makes the barrier for entry seem daunting for many players; I had started to feel burnout after only having come halfway to the current record (112+ by /u/Argyle_Raccoon) on several previous attempts (30, 40, 61, 63, 23+). To achieve a streak of this magnitude, you need to maintain constant vigilance, and when you do make mistakes (as we all do from time to time), these mistakes need to not coincide with a critical lose-condition. As such, I'm proposing a new category where, if you do mess it up or get mega unlucky, you don't waste hundreds, but rather only dozens for hours! A category that appeals to hard-core players who want to jump right in.

    Without further ado, The Gauntlet AKA Sh!t Streaking:

    One attempts to complete a cycle (or more!) of the following ships:

    Stealth A - no shields.

    Stealth B.

    Stealth C - no hacking.

    Fed C - no hacking or cloaking.

    Engi B - two crew max.

    Slug B - No med/clone-bay, no reconstructive teleport.

    The idea is to test advanced players on a range of skills: shieldless meta (stealth A); Stealth B meta; relying on a strong 3 weapon volley, ions, and/or offensive drones (stealth C); grit and boarding micro and damage mitigation without the two best systems (fed C); technical defensive crew micro (Engi B); boarding micro, missile preservation, and a twist on health management (Slug B). This list could be expanded or contracted with input from the community, but for now I'd like it to remain fixed so we're all playing on an even field. Ship order still needs to be determined, so please weigh in on this. Chronological order is an option but comes with the disadvantage of having all the stealth ships in a row. Myself and two others from the FTL discord (https://discord.gg/0mMV9KdaDtPiS9uR) have agreed to compete and we're looking for others, as well as streamers, to consider joining as well!

    97.3% winrate over 217 streamed random hard-mode runs.

    Anyone still play "Captains edition"? Thoughts on new mods?

    I havent really played a lot of modded FTL in a long time, but Captain's Edition was always the mod I played and still play. Can anyone who has played CE and other mods (like Multiverse, which I hear a lot about on this sub), give me a quick review of the differences?

    [Multiverse] Corrupted profile. Does anyone know the player ship console ID’s?

    My profile got corrupted today. :(

    This mod is incredible! It has breathed new life into FTL for me. I was about a third of the way through unlocking all the ships and my profile got corrupted. It really sucks, there are so many ships!

    In my search to fix this I found out there is a console for FTL with this post.

    In the post there is a way to unlock ALL the ships and to unlock specific ships. But to unlock specific ships I need to know the console ID's for the multiverse cruisers.

    Does anyone know where I can find those? I don't want to spoil the mod by unlocking ALL the ships and I don't want to start all over either. Thanks so much!

    Burn them out

    Does anybody else like to collect fire weapons and just burn out the enemies?

    My favorite weapons loadout recently has been Ion Blast Mark II (to keep shields down) and the fire beam. Not only is it a great show, but you get better scrap.

    (Before you say anything, I try to also have a combat drone of some sort for drone ships and Lanius ships.)

    What's your favorite, realistically attainable, loadout? (Yes...I know four BL2s with a preloader would be great.)
