I made the Slug Cruiser in KSP, thought I should share it.

My recreation of the federation cruiser in KSP. I used the background ships of federation ships and the actual federation cruiser played in game to get the shape.

Is this the best configuration? I could have defeated the Flagship at least 20 times

So I have just bought the game and I'm loving it so far but curious into the development.

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 12:09 PM PST

I considered picking this game up years ago. The reason I didn't was I got told there was just little to do after about 4 hours the randomly generated encounters just looped over and over. This being said. How far has the game come in the way of development since launch. Exactly how much in hours of stuff is there to do?

    Lost FTL career save

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 02:29 PM PST

I recently changed my computer and it had a quite an advanced career save going on (almost all C layout hards completed), but then I forgot to save the career file before the change and now I'm stuck at zero. Is this rogue in real life? I know dealing with one good run gone bad is fine but this is like thousands of runs... How would you people deal with this?

    Settings question

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 09:55 AM PST

Is there a way to turn off sounds and music automatically when i start the game, rather than having to lower the volume manually each time? Thanks

500 hours in and I learned something new

If an enemy hacks your teleporter, when it returns crew to your ship it will take mind controlled crew to your ship if they're in the same room as your boarders.

Is it any bad to run out of fuel?

    Posted: 06 Jan 2020 11:29 AM PST

First I thought you instantly lose if you run out of fuel.

When I first did I was shocked because of how much scrap I always spent on fuel in stores.

Since then I always just fly further to the right before I run out of fuel so the fleet doesn't catch up that easy, activate the beacon and wait.

Longest I have to wait was 3 times and that was only once.

Is this common strategy or am I missing something?
