Idea for a new species

Sorry if others have already come up with this, but I have an idea for a fire species. It creates a fire in the room it's in, similar to how Crystals can lock down a room. The fire ability could have maybe a 10 second cooldown. When it's in the same room as a fire, it could heal as slowly as from an Engi-Medbot Dispersal augment. For balance, it could have only 50 HP, and receive double damage from oxygen deprivation.

Anyone else have ideas for a new species?

Unlocking the crystal cruiser

So in order to get the crystal cruiser you need to visit a quest beacon in the hidden sector. Do you still get the quest beacon if you use the crystal crew member from the rock C and don't do everything else? Or is it just hope you come across it
