I achieved victory on normal four times with four different ships this weekend. I could not be more proud of myself!
I am very ill-equipped this run. I've been getting barraged by sheer damage, to the point I can't invest scrap on almost literally anything. Should I just restart, or keep going? This is sector 7 btw.
I lost a run to Window Focus Auto-Pause: Off. I'm not kidding.

Unlocking ships

Is there some way to maybe edit game files or something to unlock ships? Really I just want mantis. I'm slowly beating the game on hard mode with every ship and really don't feel like running a bunch of games on easy mode just to try and unlock ships.

I am feeling accomplished. I really started to figure out the ins-and-outs of this game, and have embraced certain strategies with the different ships. I've also learned to distribute my ships power among different systems depending on what kind of enemy I'm facing. I still get rekt every other run, but I am able to achieve victory fairly regularly!

Am I ready for hard yet?

I turned it off for a moment to make autopilot wins easier. So I was multitasking, alt-tabbed forgetting I hadn't paused first, and tabbed back in to a Game Over. Nice one.

To make this a post of actual substance, anybody else lose to something completely boneheaded that you know better than to (not) do?
