    What's your favourite weapon?

    Not the objectively best weapons, we have a general idea of those. Which ones do you like seeing the most?

    For me it's probably a tossup between halberd and heavy laser 1. Halberd is a monster and feels great to use. But heavy laser 1 is common, cheap, fast, strong, causes havoc, 1 power, and versatile too. It seems to slot into almost any loadout!

    When I get an early HL1 it tends to start a game winning snowball for me. 2 early HL1s? On a 4 slot ship that tends to signal an OP run.

    Flak 1 is a close second. It's a better weapon, I just like HL1 more. How about you?

    What mod loaders do you use in 2020 to get those fancy background mods?

    I've found three or four different mod loaders, but all I want are those cool HD backgrounds and stuff.

    I'm running the steam version 1.6.14 on both windows and mac.

    I find myself in this situation quite often. I'm on hard mode on Stealth A. Halbred is a key weapon in any load out, though I already have 2 of the best weapons in the game. In sector 3+ it will be an absolute monster but is the scrap right now worth buying it or do I wait to see what comes up in future stores? This is typically bad strategy in rogue like games (buying stuff for "later") but it's so hard to pass on. Thoughts?
