    The sound design is amazing, even beyond the music.

    The sound design in this game is obviously awesome. From the ambient beep boops of the explore themes, to the suspenseful bass of Last Stand, but I just wanted to mention really quick: the missile sound.

    We all know at this point missiles are a huge threat in this game. Enemies will mercilessly pound 10 of them into your hull, and only stop once they run out. So it makes sense that the sound for it is a deep, bass heavy thud that draws your attention, and is almost foreboding.

    This is especially noticeable in the flagship fight, when the THUD, THUD, THUD of their triple missile almost blends into the drums of the music. It adds a lot of weight to the moment, in my opinion, and is a testament to just how awesome the sound design in this game is, even beyond the music.

    What was your most OP ship build?

    I really just needed an excuse to show off this one. Note the full hacking and Defense Scrambler. It one-shotted every ship I encountered after this except those with zoltan shields, which only delayed the inevitable. The game was actually pretty boring after this, lol. The flagship sadly got one hit on me because its zoltan shield lasted two rounds of attacks (to my surprise).

    Its only weakness was potentially boarding parties, but with a full crew and super blast doors that was never an issue. Oh, and god forbid I run out of drone parts, but that doesn't happen when you're slicing through ships like they're swiss cheese. Doubt I'll ever reach this peak again!
