    Captains edition question

    I recently got into ftl and the mods, just tried captains edition and I'm noticing some things aren't what i expect. I've come across many empty beacons and no options to chat with my crew, no options to use extra fuel for jumping, nothing thats apparently in captains edition. I installed it through the manager and put the resources above the main mod. Can someone help me?

    Specifically, beam diagrams for every enemy ship. Google is too simple-minded to know what I'm looking for, so I decided to check here if it's been made. To explain further, I'm looking for a collection or site of diagrams for the best positioning for each beam type on every possible enemy ship, save for the uncommon few that won't have a "best" spot. If anyone could find something of the like it'd be greatly appreciated.
