Corrupt save file... Still a thing?

Hey, My love for FTL just rekindled. Playing the Rock ship.

After 7th restart, yesterday, finally got a good configuration at sector 5ish. 3 Scrap Recovery arms and 3 Burst laser II.

Today I logged in and all scrap recovery arms are gone!?

I heard about saved files getting corrupted but seriously! 2021 and developer still didn't address this or did I do something wrong?

I want to know what the highest record scrap collection is? I was wondering if you guys could help me find the record board if they even have one. Ive been playing FTL a lot recently and it been a lot of fun trying to collect the most scrap with OP ships on easy. Right now my session high is 3414.
