Hello,

I am a beginner on FTL and love it, I know some people don't like to do this but I really like to search for some tips & guide about the game I'm playing, since FTL has some guide & tips made in 2012 I wonder if they are still relevant or no ?

Did the game changed a lot ? Should I only take resource that are more recent ? Like from 2018 ?

I love this game but it seems I always die around sector 4 or 5... What can I do to be better and what are good items and weapons?

What's the best room to hack, and why is it Shields?

Just kidding... sort of. I typically always hack shields, with the exception of once in a while hacking oxygen or medbay to go for crew kills if I'm not threatened by them, or piloting if they are trying to jump away and/or they only have a couple shield bubbles anyways... but generally speaking it seems like shields are far and away the best, especially against the Rebel Flagship.

Am I correct in this assumption? What other ways have you used hacking effectively? Just curious if there are any strategies out there I am unaware of. Thanks guys and keep killin those Flagships.
