I know this is probably a common occurrence for others, but I've played this game on and off for a long long time with an absurd amount of failed runs. But I finally did it. I can die peacefully now;)

10+ and still no crystal cruiser unlock

I have been focusing on unlocking the crystal cruiser using the methods described in this post from years ago. Basically this consists of LOTS of restart scumming in hopes of getting a Long Range Scanner and just running through the quest steps.

After probably 8 hours of trying this method, I then tried to play legitimately several times through as Rock A. Specifically, I am trying to unlock Rock B so that I can unlock Rock C and therefore have a far easier time of unlocking the crystal cruiser. However, now I am having a ridiculously hard time with the "Is it warm in here?" achievement. I have tried everything to burn the crew members and get my rock guys in there to kill them in a hack-locked room. I have done this several times successfully using a fire beam, hacking, and teleporters, but the game does NOT allow the achievement.

What is the problem with everything I am doing here? Nothing is working. Thanks.
