- Flak cannons are always so satisfying
- Just defeated Phase 3 with one of the rougher runs I've done, including a sector 7 unintentional dive where I ran out of fuel near the exit and had to make three dives to the sector exit
- Most Scrap Collected in a run I just had. Every single system and subsystem is upgraded to full! I didn't even need that many weapons.
- Do we know what triggers surrender?
- Has anyone managed to beat the game on hard with the stealth cruiser?
- [Multiverse] It's really tempting but I don't want to lose this run

Add a flair for the Multiverse and Captain's edition mods! Posted: 29 Jul 2021 07:30 PM PDT or simply modded and allow people to say in their title the name of the mod. Mods have become really big in FTL in the last 2 or so years and we need flairs so people know about them. Some people still aren't sure what mods things are from. If we can have a couple of new flairs that relate to mods we might be able to expand this subreddit's ability to provide info! Here are a couple of examples!

Do we know what triggers surrender? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 09:15 AM PDT I'm currently facing the "convince our friends to give up piracy" event, in the DA-SR 12, and realizing that most of the ships I've taken down haven't been giving me surrender offers, so I might end up failing this event. I suspect I'm not getting many surrender offers, because the optimal swipe with the Glaive beam often doesn't damage as many critical systems as you'd like it to...and I'm fairly certain there's some sort of relationship between systems being damaged and the AI deciding to either flee or make a surrender offer. Is it known whether there is a critical threshold, in terms of damage dealt and/or systems damaged, that triggers the enemy to flee or surrender, and what governs whether they will flee, surrender, or tough it out to the bitter end, either in general, or in specific events? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:22 AM PDT Hello all, I've played this game for 200 hours, beaten it with nearly every ship but the one I just can't seem to crack is the stealth cruiser (A layout). I've only ever gotten to the flagship with it twice. The most recent time I had a halberd beam and two flak cannon 1's. I also had a fully upgraded engine, shields, and cloaking, along with a full crew, and even a fucking weapon pre-igniter! With all that in mind I still failed. The flagship drone swarm managed to land every shot in a row (even with 55% evasion) and I never stood a chance after that. At this point I'm starting to think its impossible to beat the game with this ship, its a huge investment just getting the shields bought and upgraded, let alone everything else. Does anyone know what the best tactics are with this one? I'm going to give it another try tomorrow when I'm off work. Cheers [link] [comments] | ||
