    I stopped playing for quite some time but I have a new job where I have 3-5 or so minutes of downtime many times during the day and this is a perfect game for that so I started again. I have been trying to get any achievements I don't already have lately and even though I know I have won on normal I don't have that one. Maybe I did it before achievements were added, whatever.

    Been hammering away at that one for a couple weeks now (I only play during work hours and it might take me all day to finish one good run) and today I have a great run going with Lanius B. Adv flak, burst laser 2 and 2 hull smasher 1. By the next to last sector I have 4 shields/teleporter/mind control/hacking and I am just rolling every ship I fight and very rarely even taking damage.

    In the last sector I notice that the mothership is making a jump in a rather odd direction, but I think I will just go wait at the base. I didn't need anything else for my ship, I'll just wait for it...and it goes to about 4 jumps away from the base and then just jumps between the same 2 points over and over. After waiting for at least 25 jumps I decide I have to fight my way to it and although I did get there, the ASB from the fights left me in a state that snowballed into losing the first fight.
