    This crew feels like cheating.

Finally managed to get the true ending on multiverse.

I heartily recommend the Captain's Edition mod. It really raises the replayability :)

How can I beat this boarding party. It seems like a tough match up for my current ship build. Any advice is appreciated!

Which alien race you dislike most? From both lore and game mechanics perspective.

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:55 AM PDT

    I swear, I'm not a rebel.

Didn't include Crystals since there's no space left in the poll, and they are very rare and cryptic anyway. But if you do dislike them, tell us why in the comments.

I'll start: I dislike Zoltans. Their attitude is annoying because of that "justice and order" policy (clearly it's a facade in most cases), and they screw with the energy when they walk around the ship, not to mention that they're very squishy. I'd rather pick any other race than them.

    Which weapons should I sell?

    A bit of a predicament...

Where can I ask about console commands and cheating and stuff?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 06:43 PM PDT

FTL is a fantastic game I've liked for years, and since I've recently gotten the multiverse mod it really seems like a game I could play almost everyday for a very long time yet.

In any case, I discovered the input menu the other day.

I've been good and I'm not going to just unlock all the ships or anything... discovering the various quests and unlocking the ships is what drives FTL. I don't wanna ruin the game.

I would like to spawn some weapons though, and I'm having a hard time making that work.

    Anyone help?

Unlocking crystal - Am I dumb or what?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 02:26 PM PDT

Hi guys, my goal for a while now has been to unlock the Crystal cruiser. The game tells me I can do this in two ways:

    1. Find the secret sector with the rock cruiser
    2. Defeat the flagship with type A & B of every other ship

Now, the second way is something I would like to do anyway, but there's a problem. For that I need to unlock rock B, for which I need 2/3 achievements.

    • The defense drone achievement (super easy)
    • Ancestry (luck-based, but also achieves my primary goal)
    • The burning crew kill (Seems hard. Am I expected to just play Rock A until I can find a fire weapon and a teleporter and buy both? Everyone tells me to do this achievement with Rock B... DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM?)

So because the burning crew kill seems like a pisstake I've been trying to get ancestry. I like to think I'm good at FTL but I've been throwing myself at this goal for like 25 runs now and it's getting stale. Am I missing something? I've won more with Rock A than any other ship at this point.

Boarding setup: Mind control vs hacking

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:37 AM PDT

I lean mind control for the 3rd person assisting. Much easier to group bash with it.

Hacking i could see as helpful in places. Tactical med bay or clone bay hacks for example. Or fighting in a hacked room to also uneven the odds. Of course one could use it in the traditional way, tro drop shields and take out weapons.

    MULTIVERSE Close victory

Does using a rock ship make the rock home worlds less common?

    Posted: 22 Jul 2021 02:50 AM PDT

I've been going after the Crystal shop using the rock c cruiser on easy to make things "easier" I'd say only 1 in 8 runs I've got the rock home worlds to spawn and even then I haven't found the mechanism. Am I doing something wrong? Probably on about 30 attempts of pure rock c Crystal attempts on easy to flagship
