I just had what seemed like a reasonably good beginning to a run - got an early hull missile, was generally chewing through everything and/or evading what I needed to. I've now run into an event which disabled my engines and an enemy that hard counters both my weapons, so as far as I can tell I'm totally dead in the water. Is my big mistake not upgrading engine power capacity asap (I have a huge part surplus, so I guess yes)? I had a million other 'don't die' priorities, so I'm not sure whether I should consider this 'you played badly' or 'you got very unlucky'. submitted by /u/altonin [link] [comments]
