when you win on hard with the Stealth C before the Lanius B
Late to the party here. I've been playing on easy and the game is easy up until the flagship.
Trying to unlock the slug cruiser, got the bio weapon prompt, asked for info instead, but no quest marker?
Somehow I won easily, still don't understand how.
I just came back to FTL after a ~2 year hiatus and got my first ever normal victory! I never thought this day would come

Late to the party here. I've been playing on easy and the game is easy up until the flagship.

I can reach the flagship most of the time now, but I've only beaten the damn thing once (with the AE content disabled on the Engi ship). I've been trying to beat it with the Federation Cruiser (A or B) and I'm not having much luck.

The first form isn't really a problem, but the 2nd (drones) and 3rd (projectiles everywhere, IDK what's going on there) is the issue. I was doing well on this last run with layout B, but I was just overrun with boarders at the end and no door control.

Is there supposed to be a huge increase in difficulty between the flagship vs. the rest of the game, or am I missing something about this boss fight?

this is what the sector looks like so far, so I'm wondering if maybe it was placed behind me in the red zone? I don't know where to go now.

EDIT: it was in the next sector, I didn't know that happened lol.

Never found a freaking decent weapon so had to settle for chain burst laser and the starting weapons. In sector 8 my entire crew died because an event ionized my oxygen and when they all started dying he hit my med bay with a missle. Only the engi survived, managed to add a slug at the end though.

So... did not expect to get a win but somehow the flagship was easy. drones+hacking+cloaking=OP I guess?
