Overall Best/Worst Ships

I have been keeping track of my runs in a 'captain's log' notebook since I started playing hard mode. I recently finished my 200th run and was running out of room in my notebook so I moved the info over to an excel sheet. After putting all the data in, I made the table in the post and thought it was worth sharing!

For record, I always start a run by pressing the random ship button and never doing any resets if I have a bad start. Slug ships have been my favorite ships to play but maybe not after seeing the results....

Good luck to anyone out there trying to blow up the Rebel Flagship, I know I will continue to enjoy this game for many more hours!

So i have been fighting the lanius ship and then they contacted me and the text said "The capitan of their ship show what you done. They are surrendering".

I didn`t accept, NOW I AM SAD D:

When a rebel ship is charging its ftl, would 2 mantises (or other boarders, now that we are on the discussion) have time to destroy an engine before it jumps away? I just died in sector 1 as my boarder drone failed at destroying their engine, the rebel ship jumped, and the rebel fleet caught up with me.

I ran from a previous flagship fight because the hacking drone hit my weapons. I came back to fight it and then it hacked my mind control bay.

The Flagship showed me that if you hack someone's mind control, you can use it against them.

Ion advice requested

So I'm attempting my first Vortex victory.

I have 8 weapon power and need to get the best weapon setup with what I have (next battle is the flagship).

What Ion choice would you make?

Maybe drop the Fire Bomb and use two Ion weapons to kill the shields quickly and attack with the Glaive Beam only?

Help downgrading to 1.6.9

Does anyone know how I can downgrade FTL to version 1.6.9 ? I have some testing to do, and I want to use the dev console. I have the Steam version of the game.

I tried following the instructions here, but get the error "Depot download failed : Manifest not available".
