| Should I be playing on the Advanced Edition? Posted: 27 Mar 2020 10:07 AM PDT Hi, I started playing this game a few days ago and it is ruining my life. Anyway, before I started my first run I noticed there was an option to turn on "advanced edition" content - and I left it off because I was new. However, after researching this game quite a bit, it doesn't seem that "advanced" when compared to the normal game. Should I just turn on the AE content? is there any advantage for a new player to not use it? EDIT: Editing this so if someone else has this question in the future they can see my results. I won my first run of AE (easy)!! It was a lot more fun in my opinion, but not different. There are a few new elements from standard, but you wouldn't be overwhelmed even if you started on this edition. FTL already has a steeper learning curve, and this makes it just a tiny bit steeper. I didn't get a hacking system like I wanted, but I got mind control and it's BUSTED and fun! You can mindcontrol people who board your ship and they'll start fixing stuff for you! I'm definitely going to be playing this as my standard from now on, I probably still have a lot more to see! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 27 Mar 2020 04:37 PM PDT I've been listening to the FTL soundtrack repeatedly bc it's just amazing, and "Federation" is in my opinion the BEST song on there but it's not in the actual game! Anyone know why? It would have been perfect for boss battle or even credits. Kinda disappointing but glad it exists on the soundtrack nonetheless! [link] [comments] | ||
