when you play like an absolute idiot the whole game but you're using the Crystal B Posted: 21 Apr 2020 07:21 PM PDT ​ Was going for a high score run, so I played extremely aggressively (diving in in every sector from sector 2 onwards, seeking out red sectors to get more ships defeated etc.). I lost five crew on this run, mostly due to sheer overconfidence (lost a crystal in sector 4-ish to some random fight, lost a mantis when I boarded a zoltan ship and fought 4 zoltan all at once, lost my other two crystals just before sector 8 because an auto-ship ran away with them on board, and at the end of the game it said I had 12 crew hired and I ended with 7 so there must have been a fifth casualty). I still beat the flagship with relative ease but didn't beat my high score (got 6039 and by high score is 6268). submitted by /u/Kestrel_Games [link] [comments]

Beaten by the flagship again...what can I do? Posted: 21 Apr 2020 11:45 PM PDT I legitimately had all upgrades on the ship maxxed out. Legit, Full shields, weapons, drones, non-power parts like engines, vision and doors and yet somehow...I was still unable to beat the boss. This is third time in a row with mantis ship trying to get the next ship. What in the heck should I do?? Does anybody have like a guaranteed win strat? I gotta be doing this wrong Posted: 21 Apr 2020 02:51 AM PDT I feel like I might have been playing this game wrong - or at the very least in the wrong order. I have unlocked all ship designs aside from the mantis cruiser - including the crystal cruiser. I feel like I have progressed a reasonable amount in-game terms. I have not, however, defeated the rebel flagship. Ever. Not even on easy mode. I've tried different ships and different loadouts but most times I just get instantly creamed. Furthest I've made it is the 3rd stage before the aforementioned creaming. So I figure, I gotta be doing something wrong. What am I missing? Any help? submitted by /u/QuantumWhale [link] [comments]
