| HELP! Anybody know the best way to get the "Ancestry" Achievement? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:28 PM PDT I have spent probably 20 hours trying to get this stupid milestone and have only found the rock home worlds twice. My strategy is to fly through the game on easy with Rock C, setting myself up to hit every single red zone and make sure I have the long-ranged scanners so that I can land on a blank beacon. | Unexpected rebel flagship behavior Posted: 29 Jul 2020 10:21 AM PDT Can someone explain the exact mechanics about how the following works? I was fighting the rebel flagship on hard mode with the Mantis B. On the first phase, it hacked my shields, so I figured I would warp away and try again. While waiting for my FTL drive to charge, I teleported my 4 fully leveled mantis boarders onto the ship and started killing crew memebers (why not? I've got some time to kill...). Eventually, my FTL was charged and I had killed about 2/3 of the crew. My ship was on fire from missiles and laser shots - thanks to the hacked shields - so I teleported my crew back and warped away, following the same path as the RFS. When we got to the next fight, the RFS was completely repaired and all its crew were back to life again. I expected the repairs, but I had always assumed that the crew stayed permanently dead. Does that just happen with the RFS's boarders in phase 3 if you warp away with them on your ship? Anyways, I was able to rally, re-kill the enemy crew and it was easy sailing from there. Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:15 AM PDT I just got done with this amazing run with the Zoltan ship, I got hacking, mind control, a powerful missile, 7 crew, three shields and almost max engines. I still lost to the flagship and it just felt terrible and like all this was for nothing. Any tips for my next try? [link] [comments] |
