Did anyone else avoid burst laser 1 for the longest time?

I've only started picking it up in literally the last couple of days. I always thought 2 shots for 2 power was poor when dual lasers exist, but then it finally hit me that they don't sell dual lasers in stores.

Well, now I've realised that if I didn't overlook BL1 for all these hundreds of hours I probably would've won a lot more games. When it turns up it's never what I want, but often what I need! Going from 2 to 4 shots, or 3 to 5, is really really strong. BL1 weapon combos are actually carrying runs for me sometimes.

It makes me wonder what other weapons get criminally overlooked.
