After 6 years of playing and loving this game, I've finally beaten it on Normal
This has to be my fastest loss yet.
My highest score, 6139, hard, zoltan A. (sorry my game is in French)
The last ship I needed a hard victory for. This was the least upgraded ship I have ever won with, and I embraced the heal bomb through it all.

Only subsystem I bought was cloaking at the end of sector 8. Only reason I survived was a weapon pre-ignitor in sector 7. No sensors or medbay/clonebay and only two extra crewmembers for the entire run, one of which died early on. Final score of 3922.

Heal bomb boarding strategy combined with glass cannon firepower made for an absolute nerve-racking run. Please note I could not even pre-ignite the heal bomb without sacrificing another weapon. I would not force using this loadout on my worst enemy, but I could not imagine a more intense ending to winning with every ship on hard.
