    Love for the Reverse Ion Shield?

    I love the reverse Ion shield augment, I believe it to be one of the best augments in the game.

    Now I believe it's one of the most underrated. I look on these "best augments in FTL" posts and sadly, I always see it at the bottom of the list with no appreciation. Infact very much the opposite.

    I must admit, it's not too useful for much of the encounter, as its RNG for what your going to run into.

    However, this thing is just OP when up against the flagship. Couple this with LV.4 Shields, LV.3 Stealth & Stealth Weapons and not much is getting through. Also, if your lucky enough to find a Zoltan shield... Well, I'd say you've got one of the best, if not the best defensive augment trio's going. I've even had a couple of runs where I have taken NO hull damage from the flagship for all 3 rounds using this setup.

    When I first played FTL and I got the Weapon Pre-igniter I thought I was onto a winner. However I quickly learnt that it's only really useful with certain types of setup. It costs alot of scrap, and it is rendered a waste of an augment slot after your first volley (Just saying because this is always at the top of the "best augment lists") I believe this is very much overrated.

    So, any love for the Reverse Ion Shield augment around here?
