Just got demolished by an auto turret in CE Hard and I need to talk about it Posted: 26 May 2021 12:30 PM PDT I was having a decent run with the Engi B, navigating in the 4th sector (mantis homeworld) and I jump on an auto controller with no escape. Dual laser, eavy Ion 3, cluster bomb, nothing I can't handle. "That'd be easy" I thought. "I have the damage to go through the shield with hull laser 1, dual laser, effector (1 ion dmg) and a hull drone. I have 2 shields bubble with a buffer, level 4 engine, 20 hull points. IT'LL BE A BREEZE" I was WRONG. My engi in weapons was mind controlled. Not a big deal as Engi doesn't deal a lot of damage, I just need him to not damage the system before I can shoot. I know there won't be some dodging, and as I don't want to be too annoyed by the mind control, I shoot it first. That's the moment I lost. Dual laser 2 has a 8 second CD. Heavy Ion 3 has 16, but shoots slower. I thought my shield bubble wouldn't come back and the Ion wouldn't damage the shields. It did. 4 ion damage on the shields. Well that's not good but I can still dodge right ? THERE COMES DA CLUSTA BOMB bombs in weapons, shields, piloting. All hit. My crew can't repair fast enough. My repair drone can't repair fast enough. And what slows down the repairing ? M I N D C O N T R O L That's right, my rockman mindcontrolled. Too many things to handle. Dual laser shooting, hitting all target. My shield bubble coming back only to be targetted by the Heavy Ion. Cluster bomb making sure my weapons can't be online. I just saw my ship getting teared down and there was nothing I could do, when I thought this run was pretty safe. Now i'm gonna lie down and cry, terrorized by the heavy ion 3. Multiverse crash? Posted: 26 May 2021 11:17 AM PDT I'm trying to install multiverse for FTL, I got to the point of it showing the loading screen for multiverse, I hear the first"ding" of the title music then FTL just stops.
