Haven't beaten it on hard yet, feeling confident about this one. Only at Sector 2, and I am DECKED OUT. Farm that XP, boys!!!

    New to game

I'm new to the game and just played my first run and am wondering how do I get more ships?

I know why it is from a game balance standpoint, but shouldn’t the crystal weapons be piercing all shields?

You know, since missiles (which are roughly the same size and shape, and move at similar velocities) are able to go through shields, and the augment with an abysmal chance to proc does the same?

Any advance tips for Hard mode FTL?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2021 11:43 AM PDT

I have beaten Hard mode before once with the kestrel Advance Edition (Link here https://www.reddit.com/r/ftlgame/comments/nnty24/my_first_hardmode_victory_somehow_won_without/ ignore the spelling mistake)

But I was wondering if there was any tips that only veteran players would know.

Also what are your thoughts on moving your crew in and out of a room to distract a enemy so they don't damage your system while also not damaging your crew member? Is this considers too cheesy?

    Heavy ion vs charge ion?

I'm thinking charge ion to take down shields. Which is better though?
