    Holy cow. I normally don't play boarding parties much unless I'm playing Mantis, but damn this was enjoyable. Literally drop a napalm surprise and teleport your two igneous behemoths to terrorize the enemy crew like goddamn Balrogs emerging from the blaze. Straight fire and brimstone.

    I haven't had runs this satisfying in a long time.

    I just gotta post here to shamelessly brag tell someone about it cause I can barely believe it. I've played a lot of FTL, but only recently have I started to really grind on hard. I guess watching streamers has paid off.

    Some tips for an intermediate player.

    I have currently unlocked every ship/layout and achivement on easy. I am now trying to do the same on hard, however I'm getting my ass kicked. I can confidently win every game on easy, but any difficulty above I am failing. Some tips for playing on a higher difficulty?

    I'm wanting to mod ftl but haven't used mods before, any advice?

    Hey y'all! I'm relatively new to pc gaming, and ftl is just about the only thing I really play on my laptop anyway. Currently, I plan on using slipstream (along with the "how to" steps listed on https://subsetgames.com/ftl_mods.html), just so I can add quality of life and/or cosmetic mods, like the extended pursuit indicator and better backgrounds ones included with slipstream (new ships and weapons can come later), but I'm worried my lack of experience/understanding of modding is going to end up with me accidentally screwing up all my progress so far (I've got about 150 hours that'd REALLY suck to lose).

    Basically, is there anything I need to know in order to use slipstream and mods safely? Things that could potentially really screw my game up if I didn't do it? I thought I read somewhere I might need to make backup saves to be safe, but I'm not certain how to do that either. If it's necessary, I use steam to play the game. Thanks in advance for any tips you can give me!

    I LOST ALL MY SAVED STATS AND SHIPS AND I NEED HELP :'(

    I have just unlocked ALL playable ships yesterday. I was about to try Normal Run on all ships starting today. I was close to having 1000 ships destroyed for the achievement.

    Then when I booted up Steam, it asked me to download the game (which was confusing, but I figured I had it in my laptop anyway, so WCGW?) opened the game, and ALL PERSONAL DATA is gone. I checked my ships, and ALL CLASS A AND C SHIPS are locked as well (for some reason, I still have around 5 Class B ships unlocked).

    Can anybody help me with recovering my ship unlocks? At this point, I'm frustrated enough to not give a damn about my high scores, but at least the ships should be at least salvaged. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    P.S. if there is also any chance in recovering my personal stats, I would like to take that chance. I don't want to beat up another 900+ ships just to get where I was.
