First jump in S4 on advanced hard.

Zoltan has: Flak Cannon, Ion Blast, Basic Laser, Dual/Burst I Laser, Combat Drone, 3 Shields

Cleared zoltan shields on first volley but their first volley damaged weapons and shield and second volley started fires. All down hill after that. My hull was like 90% at the start. Managed to get 1 rocket into the weapons.

Have you faced level 5 shields before?

Ok, so it has recently come to my attention that it is possible to encounter enemies with 5 shields. Like wtf, I've been playing this game for over 6 years and have never seen this. (Around 200 hours on PC and hundreds of hours on iPad)

I've even beaten the game with every ship on normal and almost all on hard (haven't done engi b or mantis c yet on hard).

I feel like I've been living under a rock or something. Would love to hear how my experience fares against everyone else's so answers to this poll would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone has any explanation for why I've never seen this before, that'd be great too
