    I am exploring the B layouts and have to say they are a lot of fun.
    Having a hard time with Shivan. Tried a laser heavy run, a flack gun heavy run and now a boarding run. I have 2 preigniting fire bombs and 2 rock borders. I feel like I am going to fuck it up again though.

    Any tips for shivan boarding game?

    Achievement hunting - "Ancestry" requirements

    Hey guys,

    I'm trying to 100% the FTL achievements on steam without cheating and I'm currently trying to get Ancestry ("Find the secret sector with the Rock Cruiser") I already have all ships unlocked and just about every guide I find on this also includes the Cristal Ship unlock achievement. So can anyone tell me what I exactly need to get to the "secret sector" (which is the rock homeworlds right)? Do I need the stasis pod? Is there always a chance for the Rock Homeworlds to spawn (between sector 5 and 7?)

    edit, with some help, here is the short version:
    1. Play with Rock C, so you have a Crystal guy
    2. Find Rock Homeworlds (can only appear once per game at sector 5 or higher)
    3. Pray you find the "Ancient Device" event at a normal beacon.
    4. Choose option "3" to "Reactivate it." and zoom, achievement accomplished.
